Trust me...you don't need AutoTune. That's for people that don't know how to sing. If you had that on your songs when I first listened to them, I wouldn't have gone like...Daaaaaaammmn this guy sings awesome. Maybe just for diversity on your content and future proyects, But that is probably the main reason I got so amazed. Both the music and the voice are perfect.

No one has perfect pitch, but I think the unedited vocals lend themselves to the raw nature of my tracks. As my skills improve, it's something that I may need to look into, though.

There are times for autotune and times for dry. I've been using it to write harmonies in where none exist, a tool for remixing, etc. Really, if we tolerated Cher's Believe and T-Pain's Buy You a Drank, why not find a use for it, unconventional or no? Like pitching your percussion for no reason, impersonating robots, etc. But I personally believe it should be either REALLY noticeable, or not noticed at all for it to have its intended effect

I've been looking into melodyne for the reasons you stated, actully. You try it?

Yeah, these are great! I think I'll snag melodyne. Been using Variaudio in Cubase, but it's not super great for doing extreme stuff.

Thanks! I got Melodyne when I upgraded to Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, but in my humble opinion, it's very much worth the price tag. Variaudio looks like a similar interface, so I think you'll get used to it in no time. Although warning, Melodyne does take a considerable amount of processor. I suggest shortening your clips to the perfect cuts you want first, rendering those separately. As far as I know, Melodyne loads the entire clip and processes all the notes if you just go head on. You'll have to show me what you come up with if and when you do snag it?
